Finally Carmen Kontur-Gronquist was stripped of her position as mayor of Arlington, a small Oregon town because of her racy pictures in her underwear and bra on a fire truck on her MySpace page. Voters in Arlington, population about 500, voted narrowly--142-139-- on Monday night to recall her.

Ms. Kontur-Gronquist said the pictures of her in black bra and panties were taken for use in a contest about fitness, but a relative posted them on MySpace in hopes it would improve the social life of the single mother. Well, what type of love interest would she possibly attract looking like a floozy? This woman later became the mayor? Who are we electing these days?

She talked tough after the news broke of the picture. She said that they predated her election, but she said she saw no reason to take them off the popular Web site once elected three years ago. Sure thing because she held all the power! What an idiot!

Opponents said it wasn't fitting for the mayor to be so depicted. They said they also disagreed with her on issues about water and the local golf course. So, in essence, she was too divisive and not really worth the time of day. Isn't this eerily reminiscent of former President Bill Clinton when he said he did not have sexual relations with that woman and later had to face the music? People never learn.
